We eat it to celebrate or when we're sad. We give it away to say, "I love you" or sometimes, "I'm sorry." Why do we love chocolate? The answer is a combination of senses and science.
Following the screening of WONKA, join Master Chocolatier, Chris Kollar, one of the ‘Top 10 Chocolatiers of North America’ and Dr. Emiliana R. Simon-Thomas from UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center for a Q&A. Simon-Thomas is a leading expert on the neuroscience of human happiness. Jessica Mennella, perfumer and scent educator, will entice you with an interactive sensory experience with chocolate.
Doors open at 12 Noon! Tickets are $25 and include a small popcorn and chocolate treats courtesy of Kollar Chocolates.
This program is made possible by a grant from Science on Screen® - an initiative of the Coolidge Corner Theatre, in partnership with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
Co-sponsors for this event are Wonderfest and St. Helena Farmers' Market.
