Rose Dunn's journey as one of the Old West's most notorious female outlaws embodies adventure, resilience, and the relentless spirit of a time defined by both lawlessness and courage. Step into the wild and untamed West of 1893 with Rose Dunn and George Newcomb, both members of a notorious bandit group, the Doolin Gang.
Based on a true story, this film follows Rose and George as they navigate the rugged landscapes of Arizona and Texas pursued by a posse of U.S. Marshals and Bounty Hunters. Ultimately, Rose and several members of the gang hole up in Ingalls, Oklahoma, where they become entangled in a legendary showdown that will forever change her legacy.
Following the film there will be a Q&A with Brett William Mauser and Lisa Butala (Rose Dunn).
About Brett William Mauser:
Brett Mauser is a seasoned Producer and Director with producing credits for over 40 feature films as well as music video and commercials that have been featured in theaters, and online streaming services such as Netflix. Brett also kept a hand in academia, helming Film Production and writing classes at the Art Institute in San Antonio, becoming a professor of Digital Film and Video Production at Northwest Vista College. Brett co-founded Not So Sane Entertainment in 2015 and currently hosts a web series called "What Went Wrong" where he discusses all the mistakes he made in his film career.
About Lisa Butala:
Lisa Butala is a Napa County native with a passion for performing. She decided to pursue her dream of acting while she attended college in Los Angeles. After graduating with a degree in criminal justice, she has been working hard to follow her love for the art of storytelling and making movies.
Lisa earned Best Actress at The Wild Bunch Film Festival for her role as Rose Dunn in the western feature “Lady Outlaw."
