Directed by Steven Spielberg
Starring Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss
Welcome to St. Helena's premiere drive-in movie theater! Together with our partner, Charles Krug Winery we are creating the ideal intersection of nostalgia, social distancing, great wine and good eatin'.
When a gigantic great white shark begins to menace the small island community of Amity, a police chief, a marine scientist and grizzled fisherman set out to stop it.
Shot on Martha’s Vineyard, the classic 1975 thriller “Jaws” will still make you jump. It has that undercurrent of dread and natural forces you cannot control and do not understand. It was only the second film by Director Steven Spielberg and garnered him several Oscars and broke box office records on opening day.
The staying power of “Jaws” is in part due to its “high concept” — there’s a shark, it terrorizes a village that depends on the beach for its livelihood. It is meticulous, well-planned filmmaking. Just think of the music. It alone can grip your insides with dread.
