In an effort to keep abreast of themes cycling through the popular and political culture of the times, we at the Cameo are pleased to debut the Public Affairs Film Series. We envision this series as an opportunity to showcase titles which address us as citizens, often in powerfully moving ways. We hope to explore both contemporary and more timeless themes, with a probable emphasis (though not exclusively) on documentary and docudrama genres. And what better way to begin in this season of presidential primaries, than with one of the classics of semi-documentary realism.
